Four: Everyday is a remix for me!

This morning, A (that's my husband) asked me to check out his remix outfit of the day.  He then said, "Everyday is a remix day for me!" which is true because he really might not have 30 items he would pick.  He works in a marine microbiology lab so most of what he wears to work he knows will get ruined at some point.  But today he was going to judge a middle school science fair (awww) and he wanted to look decent. 

Bella told me she remixes her toys, deciding which will be the favorite of the day.  And unlike A, Bella definitely has more than 30 items (toys) to choose from!  She also had a message for you all today:

What a day!  From a long (no lunch break long) meeting at work, to kickboxing, to catching a concert tonight, I am whipped and heading to bed!  SO glad tomorrow is Friday! 

Two: Ouch!

I really love shopping!  But I didn't expect the no-shopping ban to be too painful for a short 30 days, or at least not this quickly.  I shop more than I buy anyway. 

But today Anthro put out new sale items and of course the top item on my wishlist that I've realllllly been wishing to be go on sale, the Field Skirt, was marked down to $40.  If I was not on shopping ban I would have ordered it immediately. 

Instead I am learning my first remix lesson.  "Wow, I really want that skirt!  But look how many awesome clothes I already own and how many awesome ways I can wear them!" 

PS.  Awww look how happy Bella looks in the second picture!  haha.

PPS. I felt like Peter Pan/Lost Boys in this outfit... pretty sure that is not a good thing...

Day 1.  Maybe I shouldn't admit this, but my first thought this morning was, oooh first 30x30 day and I am so excited to wear my new skirt!  I had been coveting this J. Crew cord pencil skirt for months and months, and finally caved when they had the 40% off sale and free shipping with $100 a couple weeks ago.  It fits perfectly and I love it!  I wanted to wear it the day I got it in the mail but I saved it for the remix, since I (and maybe you too) will probably sick of it in 30 days!  Moving on to the top... how do you all feel about the color of this shirt?  According to J. Crew it is "bronzed twig."  I have a love/hate relationship with it.  Some days it reminds me of the good old days of babysitting and changing diapers (gross, I know, but truthful) and some days I love it for its uniqueness.  But, this is all about personal style, so I wear it when I want and don't worry if people are grossed out by it!  haha.  Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, after all!

My Picks for the Winter 30x30 Remix

So without further ado, here are my 30 items!

 

I live in Florida where the beginning of February starts to hint of spring and temperature varies wildly between 70 degree days and even nights with lows in the twenties.  I love the heat so I cannot wait for it to get warm again!  But, I took the crazy weather into account when I chose my items, so I can be ready for really different types of weather.  I am trying to start wearing more skirts and dresses so I included more than I would normally wear. My gingham shirt is relatively new and I love it so I hope you won't get tired of seeing it!  Woo hoo!  I'm excited to see what I come up with and even more excited to see what you all put together!
